Ashley Betz has always found such beauty in pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood so becoming a doula was a perfect fit. From a young age, Ashley gained experience with infants and children by babysitting and working as a nanny. After earning Associates and Bachelor’s degrees of Science, Ashley specialized in community health and is currently a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). Most recently, Ashley completed her Master of Science degree in Community and School Health at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
After working in the health care and case management field while completing her post-graduate studies, Ashley became very interested in learning more about partnering with and supporting families during pregnancy, childbirth and beyond.
In 2014, Ashley completed her birth doula training through DONA, and created a doula business specializing in providing personalized support for the modern family. Additionally, Ashley recently completed her postpartum doula training with ProDoula and placenta encapsulation training through IPPA. Ashley is also trained in rebozzo and acupressure techniques for birth.
As a modern doula, Ashley helps people become parents and provides non-judgmental, professional support to all her clients. Ashley encourages clients to find what is right for their family’s journey, rather than follow the unsolicited advice of others.
Ashley resides in North Tonawanda, New York and in her rare spare time, enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, crafting and enjoying nature. She also enjoys a good cup of coffee with a great book and a piece of chocolate!
